Our guitar string charity bracelets slide over your hand like a bangle. They are all in one piece, and do not adjust in size, therefore an accurate hand measurement is highly important.
Please read ALL. instructions before measuring your hand:
When measuring your hand, use a USB cord rather than string or a metal tape (yes the picture shows a soft tape – but we’ve discovered for the thicker strings, a USB cord is more accurate). String or yarn will stretch and the thicker a bracelet is, the larger it has to be to fit over the same size hand ( think napkin ring vs bagel 😁)
The USB should be slightly loose around your hand so that it slides- this ensures the bracelet will also slide over your hand. The USB cord should be at the widest part of your hand, on the thumb base. Fingers and thumb should be TUCKED in like you’re trying to put your hand into a pickle jar. See photo below (but keep USB slightly loose and a little lower on the thumb than our photo).

Mark the USB cord where it meets (on both sides), lay out flat and measure this length with a ruler. You can use inches or cm.
**IMPORTANT**
measure twice! Three times even! The size you give us is the size we make it and it’s not adjustable.
For reference:
Ladies – if a store bought bangle bracelet fits over your hand okay, you are 8 inches (standard). If it is too large, or too small, please measure and let us know that size.
Guys: average size for most men is 8 1/2 – 9 1/2 inches. We have had a few size 10 but that’s pretty rare! If you are getting 10 or 11 inches please measure again, or get someone to help you to be sure.
