The Glorious Sons bass payer Chris Huot (Mamba), recently lost his brother Adrian, just before the Canadian leg of their tour, so the band set up a Gofundme to help Adrian’s children.
We met up with Brett Emmons on the afternoon of the Kelowna BC show and he donated a set of used guitar strings, and also his harmonica (used in ‘Mama’) which he signed! Such a great soul he is; kind and generous. While waiting for the show, we went for dinner and posted on social media about the strings.. they were all bought and paid for before the show started! Wow! (The show was Incredible!! )
The day after The Glorious Sons concert, the world changed and we were all in 14 day quarantine across our country, due to Covid-19! I feel blessed to have been able to see the show, and meet Brett and get these items!
We made 8 bracelets from the six strings, and auctioned the harmonica on ebay – and it produced a bidding war, and $365.00! Thanks to everyone who pitched in and stepped up. After postage and other expenses we were able to send a total of $578 to the fund.
Many thanks to everyone Brett, and all who helped by donating and sharing our posts etc. And stay safe in these weird times!
xoxo
