Happy Easter everyone!
Every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, the Union Gospel Mission in Vancouver serve out thousands of meals to those in need; homeless, addicted, those living in poverty, working poor etc and it’s a good thing (and unfortunately much needed).
This year due to Covid, UGM was unable to open its doors to in-person dining, but figured out how to do take-out for those in need.
Comfort Doll Project supports Union Gospel Mission most years, and so we were happy to be able to send $80 this Easter, after two of our supporters purchasing bracelets made from Sam Roberts Band and Tom Cochrane used guitar strings.
$80 goes a long way – a hot Easter meal costs less than $4.00 so we helped provide over 20 meals. Many thanks to the artists who support us by donating strings, time, publicity etc, and to those of you who also support by purchasing, sharing, etc. A little goes a long way!
