So this is pretty cool !! A lovely lady contacted us to commission us to create bracelets for her using strings she herself had gotten from Slash (yes, the Guns n’ Roses guitarist). Her husband had been Slash’s guitar tech and personally knew him for many years, and she had the strings but didn’t know what to do with them, until she found us on Instagram!
She only wanted a few items made, but sent us all 6 strings so we could play with string gauge and do our magic 😉 and instead of sending the two spare strings back, she donated them! Needless to say, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, so the usual price of $30 was raised a bit, and we generated $90 The Glorious Sonswhich we combined with proceeds from and a few Papa Roach bracelets.
We were able to send $422 to the Union Gospel Mission which allowed 99 people to enjoy a Christmas diner! Thanks for the strings and the support!
